Hey My American Friends , I wanna know what was around for you in the 80's because that was the era of my Teens and so many things make me go "Oh wow! I remember that" , so take me down your Memory Lane :)

We didn't have as much crime back then, there wasn't a drug problem out there, at least that I was aware of. People were nicer to one another, and I don't think there was a social media site. around.....And I was working full time.

Let's see. The 80's in America.
Cocaine, especially in freebase "crack" form, was all the rage.
There was a huge panic about Satanic cults and ritual abuse that had no real factual basis. Just a bunch of scripted "confessions" that made waves on TV talk shows.
Yuppies were considered cool very briefly.
Aquanet was flying off store shelves.

I used to love using a can of AquaNet as my own personal flame thrower.

Great fuel for potato guns as well.

I remember Yuppies , they looked like Dickheads over here , carrying around Filofax and a Phone like a brick saying "Oh yah!" lolz

It's this cheap super hairspray in giant aerosol cans.
I forgot perms. People's moms were all about stinking to high hell like a chemical dump with their perms. They looked awful and the smell could drive a dog off a meat wagon.
says Glis on Apr 23rd 16 (#2284279)
Oh it's hairspray , so how did you use that with your Potato Gun Glis ?
Oh I remember the Perms from the 80's lolz My Mum looked like a Poodle at times

You spray it in the chamber and a grill igniter sets it of. It's alcohol and butane.
says Glis on Apr 23rd 16 (#2284533)
It was needed for thick curly hair. I've had this my whole life. If you wanted that Farrah Fawcet look you used juice cans to set it and tons of that hairspray. My hair misses those days. It still wants to be big😊

I was born in 89 so I missed the 80's and I can't remember too much from the 90's either.

I was too young to remember much about the 80's, but since I grew up in small town South Africa it was probably quite boring. The 90's was a bit better... cheap alcohol, cheap cigarettes, wearing anything black got you branded as rebellious and/or Satanic (plus lots and lots of teenage girls who thought being branded rebellious and/or Satanic was the height of hotness). Oh yes, and punk rock unbanned. It was fun.
says MisterH on Apr 21st 16 (#2282812)
loz so you were seen as a Rebel and got all the Girls
Sweet memories for ya and a few Wicked ones

When I think of the 80s, I think of young girls with big hair.

Oh lolz that was me , anyone with a naked flame was not to come near because I was highly flammable
says Darkest_Serenity on Apr 23rd 16 (#2284282)
I used to have a lot more optimism back then. I thought the future was going to be great. Things could only get better and better (medicine, technology, space travel, flying cars of course, etc..). Things don't seem to feel that way anymore though.
Now I know the future sucks and I just want to go back.

I think we all did Chance tbh
