At my other house, I use to pass a variety of small chocolate bars and bags of chips. Now i'm never home Halloween night, funny how that works.

We usually get 80 to 100 kids. I think they bus them in from other neighborhoods.

To those who I find out are mental hospital supporters, I'll purposely pass out candy with the type of drugs used in mental hospitals to keep "patients in their place" in it. For every mental hospital patient hurt, I hurt a supporter. LOL -- Just kidding, I don't do Halloween, but that's how I feel about most doctors. I'm such an evil pr!ck hahahahah this one is a shout out to my uncle Angelo Rivera, a patient victimized in Queens Nassau County. I love you, bro.

WHEN I do it, I usually buy bags of little candy bars and M&M's. I'll be a Halloween 'grinch' again this year, however. Penning up the dog and cats for hours so I can hand out expensive candy to kids who don't need it just isn't worth the effort to me. I DO feel a little bit bad about it, though. I figure some of the littler kids must feel at least some of the excitement I used to feel back in the 60's, about dressing up and going door to door in the neighborhood in the dark.

I feel the same way. I'm being a Grinch this year, not buying any candy at all, and praying for rain. lol

I feel the same way with my dogs. They go nuts when they see all the weird costumes. I will do it this final year for my grandson. He's still little enough to be excited. I always try to save the good chocolate for me. LOL

I agree, that's very hard to remove from the house, especially from brick.

Mines brick too. It would be a helluva a mess. Worse the card it ruins a paint job.

One Halloween some kids threw eggs up on our roof at the back of the house. We didn't do anything to get it off, just let the weather take care of it.
says StarzAbove on Oct 25th 16 (#2417570)

Thank god it was the roof. On the brick it stays and can really discolor it. We are looking to sell our house in a year or so. It's to damn big yard wise and inside its huge. We bought a motor home so we will be at beaches or lakes. My dream is to have my son just move in. He would get a beautifully furnished home. If he's still single.

It would stay on brick probably forever.
