Are disaster movies boring?
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#821670)
Some of the older ones sure can be!
says Rooster on Jul 31st 18 (#2798257)
I have always wondered, what kind of offspring would King Kong and Godzilla produce, if they decided to mate with each other. Zing Dong?
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798265)
Expand Dong. Yeah. :p
says Tanor_Faux on Jul 31st 18 (#2798290)
I always thought both were male, but lizards can sometimes change from one to the other during emergency situations ---HEY GOOD IDEA GIVE LIZARD BLOOD TO THOSE WHO CAN'T DECIDE SO THEY CAN CHANGE ON A DIME
says LorraineTwevlehundredRaineTwelvehundred on Jul 31st 18 (#2798381)
Why would Godzilla be a male? She has almost the same breast size as of most of the top models these days.
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798386)
I don't recall if the Japanese movies ever stipulated Godzilla's gender.
However, in the 1998 movie, Godzilla was female.
says Walt_OReagun on Aug 9th 18 (#2801255)
And, unfortunately, even without realizing it, I must've been going for that. Me brain not function, always not, never that great. Memory serves something, something, something.
says ZonkeyBalls on Aug 9th 18 (#2801260)
Well boring movies are boring. Disaster movies are disasters. The worst sin a movie could make, is to be plain boring in all accounts. Not even funny bad, or Asylum Mockbuster bad. I've never walked out of a movie I didn't like. I see disasters to the end.
says Tanor_Faux on Jul 31st 18 (#2798284)
There have been a few good ones and there have been some that are nothing but a never ending barrage of CGI.
says JustJimColo on Jul 31st 18 (#2798325)
I would love to make a movie about a bad day, that happened to a bunch of toys... Oh, shit, that's Toy Story 1,2,3... Damn it. If my Tetris clone fails, I don't know what to do. It will have full frontal nudity, though.
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798334)
For the full frontal nudity, are you going to use CGI? LOL
says JustJimColo on Jul 31st 18 (#2798336)
The blocks will have certain amounts of Live footage from One Day in Paris. Oh, damn, that's the worst idea I've ever had...
EDIT: Then again, could be worse... They could all be showing Goatse. Or... Two Girls and One Cup, but... I wouldn't go that far.
EDIT #2: That would naturally be a disaster game, which would cause the masses to flock in. Not a quite horrible business plan after all. Two purchases in ten years, but both were willing to pay ten million Euros.
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798337)
Some are boring. I try to avoid the earthquake movies, since I've lived my entire life surrounded by fault lines.
says JanHaskell on Jul 31st 18 (#2798351)
Well, perhaps that one of the GTA games was the least innovative in certain terms, but the area of gameplay was pretty darn immersive for the time being.
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798357)
depends on the movie - I think x rated are even more boring
says LorraineTwevlehundredRaineTwelvehundred on Jul 31st 18 (#2798369)
"The Horrible Disaster at the **** Filming Club House" is one of my favorites! It features a burning parrot, that's still talking!
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798373)
98.9% 0f movies are boring...
says DandyDon on Jul 31st 18 (#2798424)
Not my upcoming project. It's a love story between a swan and a spaceship. They are both from the future and share the same name. Probably either Deborah or Richard. They fall in love, have a fight, get married, get divorced and once day the swan realized he or she is pregnant with another spaceship's unborn offspring.
That causes a huge war between the swans and the spaceships, in which the swans call for help from all of the other animals in the human kingdom and finally a flock of pigeons ram through the main attacking ship's engines, sacrifing themselves and saving the Swankind.
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798426)
I might watch that...unless you get Whoopi Goldberg to be in it.
says DandyDon on Jul 31st 18 (#2798475)
She can play Smurfette for the first ten seconds and then be crushed by a falling bowling ball. No CGI required there.
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798476)
I think their on par with most other movie genres, so in general, yes.
says PhilboydStudge on Jul 31st 18 (#2798438)
It's an easy target. I understand the Seventies' craze about them, when it a was a rather new concept, but...
says ZonkeyBalls on Jul 31st 18 (#2798458)
Yeah, they're way too predictable.
says Diego on Aug 1st 18 (#2798681)
after watching 2 or 3 yes they all have the exact same cookie cutter formula
says deusvult on Aug 2nd 18 (#2798894)
There is always an old lady, trying to save a kitten and then she gets trapped... Yes, well, never before...
says ZonkeyBalls on Aug 2nd 18 (#2798937)
Not to me.
says Sofia on Aug 9th 18 (#2801184)
Well, that's mainly because being on this site is a disaster movie.
says ZonkeyBalls on Aug 9th 18 (#2801190)
Well, fair enough.
says Sofia on Aug 9th 18 (#2801209)
No. I enjoy watching disasters take out large cities.
says Walt_OReagun on Aug 9th 18 (#2801248)
I liked San Andreas and World War Z. I shouldn't admit, that I liked SA, but yeah...
